The advice you can get is either too general to act on — 'apply fertiliser at knee height' — or written for a farm with a tractor and a soil lab. Between those two there is nothing, and the gap is where the yield goes.

An instruction you do not understand is one you drop the first week you are busy. What we don't claim

The guides are compiled from published farming research, including FAO and CABI material, and adapted to your field's conditions by the same engine that ranks crops. They are not a substitute for an agronomist who can stand in your field and look at it. Where the answer genuinely depends on seeing the crop, Divisi says so and points you at the Hive, where farmers growing the same thing nearby can look at your photograph.

Questions worth asking

A printed guide is written for a province and an average year, and it gives you stages. Divisi gives you dates, because it knows your planting day and your field. 'Top-dress at the six-leaf stage' becomes a task in the second week of January, with the amount worked out for your soil and your target yield. And it arrives on the day rather than waiting to be looked up.

Several hundred crops have full guides, and the reference pages on this site are the public half of the same corpus — you can read the crop, pest and disease guides for free without installing anything. The dated plan, the field-specific amounts and the reminders are what the app adds on top.

Yes. They are computed on the phone from your own plan rather than pushed from a server, which is deliberate — a reminder that depends on a connection is a reminder that fails exactly where farming happens. Once your season is set up, the phone knows the whole calendar and can raise every task in it with the network switched off.
