Malawi's government farm-input subsidy for smallholder households, providing fertiliser and certified maize seed at a reduced price. Branded the Affordable Inputs Programme (AIP) from 2020, it was reintroduced under its long-running original name, the Farm Inputs Subsidy Programme (FISP), for the 2025/26 season; a further overhaul announced in July 2026 brings paper coupons, registration through farmers' organisations, and a mandatory organic-fertiliser component.

| Who qualifies | Smallholder farming households on the government's approved beneficiary register. Each local farmers' organisation identifies and registers eligible households in its area under the Decentralised Agricultural Extension Services System (DAESS); only households on that register receive inputs. |
| What you get | Under the reforms announced for the 2026/27 season, a registered household can redeem a 5 kg packet of certified maize seed for K10,000 and two 50 kg bags of fertiliser at K20,000 each — about K50,000 for the full package. |
| How to register | Registration runs through the local farmers' organisation under DAESS, which identifies eligible households and issues a paper coupon; the coupon is redeemed for seed and fertiliser at an approved agro-dealer. |
