Parish Development Model — Agricultural Value-Chain Pillar

The Parish Development Model places a revolving fund in a SACCO in every parish so that farming households still outside the money economy can borrow to buy inputs and grow a farm enterprise.

What to know

Who qualifiesFarmer, agri-trader, youth or community groups of 10-30 members — newly formed or already existing — that register as an Enterprise Group at the sub-county.
What you getA revolving fund of UGX 100 million placed in each parish's PDM SACCO, from which registered Enterprise Group members can borrow to buy agricultural inputs once appraised and cleared by the SACCO loans committee.
How to registerForm or join an Enterprise Group of 10-30 members and register it at the sub-county; once a member has completed the application, been appraised by the SACCO loans committee, and been trained and cleared, the loan is paid to their bank or mobile-money account.
