A conditional grant administered alongside CASP through the provinces, funding food-production projects for subsistence, smallholder and commercial farmers as part of government's food-security programme.

| Who qualifies | Subsistence, smallholder or commercial farmers who demonstrate the intent and ability to run a farming business, have confirmed access to land (title deed, tribal resolution, permission to occupy, or a lease of at least 5 years) and to water where irrigation is needed, have a business plan and proof of market access, and are registered on the provincial farmer database. Priority goes to historically disadvantaged individuals and vulnerable groups (youth, women, people with disabilities). Government employees and political office bearers may not apply. |
| What you get | On- and off-farm infrastructure, production inputs, support for enterprise and business development, and farmer training, skills development and capacity building. |
| How to register | Application forms are obtainable from Local Agricultural Offices and the provincial department's website. Completed forms, with supporting documents (ID copy, proof of land and water access, business plan), must be submitted directly to the Local Agricultural Office on or before the closing date; no late, faxed or emailed applications are accepted. |
