A World Bank and Green Climate Fund-financed project to improve climate resilience, land productivity and carbon storage, and increase access to diversified livelihood activities in selected rural watersheds, mainly through soil and water conservation and watershed rehabilitation works.

| Who qualifies | Households in 47 selected watersheds across Amhara, Benishangul-Gumuz, Gambella, Oromia, SNNP, Sidama and Tigray regional states; watersheds were selected on existing land degradation and need for sustainable land management. |
| What you get | Physical and biological soil and water conservation works (soil bunds, area closures, afforestation) plus climate-smart agriculture support, delivered as community and watershed-level infrastructure and training rather than individual handouts. |
| How to register | Not an individual application: a farmer's kebele must fall inside one of the project's selected watersheds; participation runs through the Kebele and Community Watershed Teams with support from the local Development Agent, following the Ministry of Agriculture's Community-Based Participatory Watershed Development Guidelines. |
